INTERESTING FACTS:

In late March, April, May, October and early November, the frequencies of the ferries is lesser but they are regular. From late November to early March the ferry services are almost closed.

Q : For how many years is the residency card valid?

A : 5 years and can be renewed for the same period

Q : For how many days can I stay in Schengen and UK?

A : 90 Days out of 180 days every year

Q : Will I need to have a visa to travel to any of the countries in the Schengen?

A : You may travel visa free and no registration is required for crossing borders.

Q : Do I need to reside in the country and know the language?

A : It is not required to stay in the country on a continuous basis but a visit once for the bio metrics before applying for residency. Knowledge of language is not required.

Q : In what cases can my application be rejected?

A : The application can be rejected for the following reasons:

-By providing false information.

-Existence of outstanding conviction or criminal proceedings for serious criminal offences in any country of the world.

-If the applicant poses a potential threat to public order, national security or the reputation of Greece or any other country.

Q : What happens in case of concealment of information or false data has been provided?

A : An applicant shall not pass the due diligence test and the application shall be rejected. An investor can be deprived of the citizenship, if the status was obtained by submitting false information, fraud or concealment of actual information.

Q : Can I rent my property after purchase?

A : Yes

-Have excellent health

-Hold no criminal record

-Have a high personal net worth

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

-A valid passport with a copy

-Proof of income and funds (income tax returns, documentary proof of inheritance, rental income, dividends, income of property sale, etc.)

-A copy of any utility bill

-Bank account statements (6 months)

-Birth Certificate

-Two color photographs (digital versions accepted)

-Receipt confirming that the stamp duty has been paid

-Real estate purchase agreement

-Certificate confirming the filing of the real estate purchase agreement with the mortgage registry

-Insurance policy covering the cost of hospitalization and medical care
